Read the case studyGarden and outdoor living sell in a short season, often as large items, and products that kill pests or feed plants follow rules of their own. We plan the season, the costs and the compliance together.

A short season, regulated products and heavy boxes.
Most garden demand arrives in spring and early summer. Stock, content and advertising are ready before it starts and scaled back before it ends.
Products that repel or kill pests generally need registration and marketplace approval, and fertilisers carry labelling rules. We confirm the requirements before listing.
Furniture, grills and planters are costly to store and ship. Pack sizes, fulfilment method and pricing are modelled per unit before the season.
A buyer with a weekend and a weather forecast.
Garden and patio demand rises with the first warm weekend, and the listings that win are the ones with reviews and stock when it does. The search for a product in April was ranked in February.
Walmart is a large outdoor living retailer, and its marketplace buyer expects the store's prices and the store's seasonal range. Patio sets and grills list there with the sales history built the year before.
Tools and garden machinery sell to both the weekend gardener and the landscaper, and Amazon Business reaches the second with quantity pricing. The listing speaks to both, with specifications the professional reads and photographs the gardener trusts.
Pesticides, fuel and the freight that needs a pallet.
A pesticide or a pesticide device carries its EPA registration on the listing, and Amazon requires approval before it is listed; fertilisers and soil amendments have state registration rules of their own. The paperwork is done before the season, because the season does not wait.
Petrol machinery, lithium tool batteries and cutting tools are dangerous goods or restricted for fulfilment, with safety data sheets and, for some, no FBA at all. Which fulfilment method each product can use is decided by its classification.
Patio furniture and machinery list assembled dimensions, weight, materials and weather resistance, and the packaged dimensions decide the fee. A listing that omits the assembled size comes back as the wrong size.
The services a garden brand uses most: pesticide and dangerous goods approvals before the season, the fulfilment method chosen per product, and the advertising that starts before the first warm weekend.
A short season, oversize freight and stock that waits a year.
Demand runs from early spring to midsummer with a smaller autumn lift, so inbound shipments land in February, advertising starts before the first warm weekend, and the stock left in August waits until next year in paid storage.
Grills, furniture sets and machinery ship on pallets, fall in the largest fee tiers, and often cost less to fulfil from the brand's own warehouse or a 3PL than through FBA. The fulfilment method is chosen per product.
Storage fees on unsold outdoor stock through autumn and winter can exceed the margin, so the September markdown, the removal order and the carry over are decided with numbers in August.
