Clothing & Accessories marketplace management

Fashion catalogues run to hundreds of sizes and colours, and every unclear size chart comes back as a return. We build clean variation catalogues, protect the brand and advertise the styles that sell through.

What makes fashion different

Catalogue structure, fit and copies.

  • Variation catalogues

Sizes, colours and styles have to sit under the right parent listing with correct attributes, or buyers cannot find them. We build and maintain the catalogue structure.

  • Returns and fit

Apparel and footwear return more than most categories. Size charts, fit notes and model measurements reduce returns, and return reasons feed back into the listing.

  • Brand protection

Designs are copied quickly. Trademark registration and Brand Registry give the brand the tools to remove counterfeits and keep control of its pages.

Who buys fashion on marketplaces, and where

A buyer who cannot try it on.

  • Amazon on the variation page

Fashion sells on Amazon through a parent listing with every size and colour as a child, and the buyer chooses on the size chart, the model photographs and the reviews that mention fit. A single listing per colour is invisible.

  • TikTok Shop on the look

Apparel and jewellery are among TikTok Shop's largest categories, sold on how a piece looks worn, by creators, at prices the feed compares instantly. The size chart and the returns policy have to travel with the video.

  • eBay and Walmart for the rest

eBay sells fashion by brand and condition, pre-owned included; Walmart sells basics and multipacks at everyday prices. A brand chooses the channel that matches its price band.

The rules that decide a fashion listing

Fibre content, care labels and the jewellery that needs approval.

  • The labels the law requires

Apparel carries the fibre content, the country of origin and the care instructions on a permanent label, and the listing repeats the fibre content and the care. A textile listing without them is incomplete on the marketplace's checks.

  • Fine jewellery is gated

Fine jewellery with precious metals and stones needs approval on Amazon and clear statements of metal purity and stone type; fashion jewellery does not, but its metal content claims are still checked. Watches have category rules of their own.

  • Images to the standard

Apparel main images follow strict rules on the marketplaces: the garment on a model or flat, a plain white background, no props, no text. Lifestyle images belong in the secondary slots, and TikTok Shop wants the worn shot first.

How we run Clothing & Accessories accounts

The services a fashion brand uses most: the variation catalogue built once and kept in stock, imagery to the marketplace standard, TikTok Shop beside Amazon, and the returns work that protects margin.

The calendar and the economics of fashion

Seasons, returns and a variation family's worth of stock.

  • Four seasons and two peaks

Spring and autumn collections, holiday gifting and the January sale set the year, and each collection needs its reviews before its season. Evergreen basics carry the account between collections.

  • Returns are the cost line

Fashion returns run higher than any other category, mostly on fit, and each return is a shipping cost and a re-inspection. Detailed size charts with measurements, and photographs on models of stated sizes, are the return reduction.

  • Stock across the variation

A parent listing with ten sizes and five colours is fifty units of stock to plan, and the sizes that sell out first suppress the whole page's rank. Replenishment is planned per child, not per style.
